Protecting User Privacy

Strong user privacy policies will be implemented in Hypothesis from the outset, first and foremost as it pertains to user data. In line with Hypothesis' founding philosophy, users can expect meaningful control over the ways that Hypothesis can use their data, including the extent to which revealing data points are made accessible to third parties. We believe that increased consciousness about the ways companies exploit user data leads inevitably to a more ethical and equitable global ecosystem of digital products, and we maintain a commitment to upholding a user-first philosophy according to our core values of truth and trust.
